Directions for Journaling...
Okay, so let's bust out those Journals shall we?
(blows dust off large notebook)
I want you to write a quick page or two on the resources you just perused.
What were your initial reactions to the first two articles? How did they make you feel? Did they upset you, confuse you?
What evidence of these topics might you find in your everyday life? Do you know of some specific examples?
Maybe you disagree with what the articles are talking about...talk to me about that. How do you see things?
How much accountability does the media have in this, do you think, if any? What kind of commercials stick out in your mind? What advertisements seem to get your attention? Which turn you off?
This isn't necessarily for a grade, ladies and gents, but I do want your honest effort and opinion. Tell me how you feel. I want to know how things like advertising and media play a role in your lives. Perhaps your feelings from this journal entry will help inspire your project idea. Now get crackin'!
